The rooms and the facilities

A recently renovated, spacious and well-equipped Village Hall in an idyllic and peaceful location on the northern edge of the New Forest. The hall has parking for 40 cars and overlooks Hatchet Green where cattle and ponies graze and cricket is played regularly on weekend afternoons.

On the ground floor a large entrance lobby provides ample space to welcome your guests or clients and hanging space for their coats, with room for a table as well.

Downstairs we have a newly refurbished meeting room with french doors onto the garden and a small kitchen. Ideal for smaller events or groups. The room will hold 20 people comfortably. It's ideal for yoga, committee meetings  or small groups. There is also a changing room with showers and two toilets.

The Main Hall

Seats 120 theatre style or 80 to 90 people comfortably at our square or oblong tables. We offer a choice of 90 comfortable upholstered chairs or 104 lighter folding chairs.

A portable stage is available for use with all hires on request, together with a hearing loop sound system, dimmable lighting and spotlights.

Superfast Broadband and WIFI are available free and a remote controlled projector is installed.

The disabled toilet with baby changing facilities is accessed from the main hall.

The Kitchen

Our recently fitted, 5 star-rated commercial kitchen has large capacity fridge and freezer, 6 ring commercial gas cooker, hot cupboard and high speed commercial dishwasher. Trained users and chefs may also have use of a commercial food mixer and MKN Combi Oven.
Crockery, cutlery and glasses are provided for at least 80 place settings. Cooks and chefs are advised to bring saucepans and oven trays when catering for large numbers.

The Garden Room (Downstairs)

The lower ground floor garden room is a good size for meetings of 15-20 people and is a pretty room with french doors opening to the back garden area.
The lower ground floor can be accessed via internal stairs from the main hall or via external steps to its own entrance and lobby. This room has access to the lovely garden via french doors.

Facilities
The lower ground floor has ladies’ and gents’ toilets and showers and changing facilities. There is also a small kitchen, sound system and smart TV.
